Fylde Bike Meeting

Fylde Bike Meet takes place every Monday evening, come rain or shine, hail or snow; including bank holidays (even Boxing Day !), from 6.30pm until approximately 9.30pm.

Bikers travel from far and wide to visit the meet, where they are met with a warm welcome and relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Local Cafe’s stay open for us, to enable those attending to grab a bite to eat and a well earned drink (non-alcoholic, of course !).

We have exclusive use of the two main Town Square Car Parks, thanks to our good relations with the local Council, Police and Traders.

As you can see from the pictures (courtesy of Doug and Ed!), we have all shapes, sizes and ages of Bikes (and Bikers!) attending the meet, so it’s well worth a visit, just to check out the vast range of bikes out there !

Forthcoming Events ….

Please remember that the meet is entirely NON-PROFIT MAKING.

All those who give up their time to become involved in the Organisation and Marshalling do so without payment.

All profits from the meet (via collections/raffles/events etc.) are given to our 2 nominated charities :

North-West Air Ambulance and Fylde Community Projects Fund.

We are currently working hard to raise funds to both keep the Meet running smoothly and make a decent donation to our charities.

We hope your support will help us keep things going for many years to come.

Meet History and Achievements:

Fylde Bike Meet was founded on a rainy 13th June 2005, in St. Annes Square.

Despite the appalling weather conditions at least 40 bikers turned up to see what was going on !

Nowadays, fine weather sees numbers in the hundreds attending, topping 500 on busy nights – making us one of the North-Wests most popular meets !

The meet was the brain-child of Councillor John Coombes, leader of Fylde Borough Council and himself a biker.

Since then, the meet has undergone major changes. Councillor Coombes has had to step down from his position as organiser of the meet due to council commitments and a committee has been elected to oversee the meet.

The meet has attracted press coverage both on the television, in the Lytham St Annes Express and in various national biking publications. For a taster of what goes on, click the link below (NB. 10Mb Download – not for those on dial-up !)

Our best turnout yet was for our Blackpool illuminations run where we collected money for charity and led more than 2000 bikes up Blackpool promenade. The Monday night meet boasts dedicated, secure bike parking, with marshalls on hand to keep an eye on your pride and joy while you wander around the other bikes or simply have a brew with friends.
